It is exciting to know our readers will be able to read the 2nd book in our series tomorrow. It is my favorite of the three, a potent chase for power, to get rid of power, and stretch power to the limits. And the snarkiest comments yet from Trell.

Meanwhile, we’ve been working hard on the 3rd book, Aztalan’s Idol. Feel free to look it up if you know nothing of Aztalan. But you still need to wait a bit to find out what it has to do with our characters. This is fiction, remember? We have the cover ready to tweak once the manuscript is formatted. No pressure? I’m learning to format for the first time, but the manuscript is pretty much done. Well, until I find the next error. We go through these books a dozen times, and still find weird errors. Sigh. Last night Nan found another error but we cannot wait for the publishing. No book is perfect, but the story, THAT should satisfy our readers!
To help our eager readers, we’ve included a couple of chapters from book 3 at the end of book 2. As much as Merlin’s Tomb changes so much in their lives, Aztalan’s Idol will broaden this alternate history world of ours and head in places we had not imagined when we began this journey. We are excited and I know you will be too once we get book 3 out, hopefully in early August.
One more piece of news, or change of news, we will be unable to go to the Fox River Steampunk Fest in Elgin in September. Turns out I already have set in stone plans, and it’s possible even that will change if my son-in-law’s Army ceremony hits that same weekend as we are starting to suspect. I wish I could be three copies of myself and do everything, but we have to have some priorities in life and mine is family.
So get your fingers ready to hit that BUY BUTTON for either the ebook or the print book. Merlin’s Tomb is about to enter the world! (teaser – Trell becomes a hood ornament!)
